From Brisbane to Cairns, we hit iconic spots like Noosa and Rainbow Beach, with K’gari (Fraser Island) as an added extra, plus Airlie Beach and Magnetic Island. We also explore heaps of hidden local gems that most tours don’t visit, including Cape Hillsborough for sunrise with the kangaroos on the beach, as well as waterfalls like Josephine Falls and Babinda Falls, and Etty Bay where you might spot cassowaries. The itinerary is flexible, so we can switch things up to match the groups vibe - making it a fun, laid back adventure up the coast.

Day 1
Noosa

  • Pickup 10am Brisbane (meet & greet).

  • Group shop for supplies.

  • Lunch and swim and a local waterfall.

  • Set up camp at Habitat Campground Noosa (2 nights).

  • Kangaroo spotting at the campground.

Day 2
Noosa

  • Sunrise with the kangaroos

  • Morning stand-up paddleboard session on the lake at camp.

  • Explore Noosa (shops & cafes).

  • Walk through Noosa National Park - Walk, swim, Surf.

  • Overnight at Habitat campground Noosa.

Day 3
rainbow beach

  • Depart Noosa and head to Rainbow Beach

  • Food shop

  • Camp on a private property (2 nights, exclusive for our group).

  • Activities: surfing, SUP, beach walks, optional drive on the beach (tide & weather dependent).

  • Walk and swim at a tea tree creek.

Day 4
Rainbow Beach (K’gari Day Trip)

  • Full-day trip to K’gari (Fraser Island).

  • Sunset at Carlow Sandblow.

  • Evening back at Rainbow Beach private camp.

Day 5
Remote Bush Camp

  • Morning surf or beach time at Rainbow before departure.

  • Travel inland to a remote bush property for camping.

  • Wild horse spotting on the way.

  • Activities: hike, river kayaking adventure, swim, group games in the afternoon/evening.

  • Hand feed the farm animals

  • Evening campfire & marshmallows.

  • Star gazing.

Day 6
barracrab

  • Set off after breakfast and travel through classic Queensland landscapes - Cane fields, open ranges, and small towns with plenty of character.

  • Find plenty of wildlife on this drive including wallabies, emus and the occasional wedge tailed eagle.

  • As we reach Clairview, the road hugs the coast - a perfect photo stop before we roll into Barracrab caravan park which is right on the beach.

  • Afternoon drink at an iconic pub.

Day 7
Cape Hillsborough

  • Depart Barracrab and head to Cape Hillsborough - a hidden costal gem surrounded by rugged headlands and beaches.

  • Set up camp on the beach.

  • Walk and swim at a locals only waterfall.

  • Mangrove board walk

  • Afternoon chill

  • Evening star gazing.

Day 8
Airlie Beach

  • Early sunrise at Cape Hillsborough — watch kangaroos on the beach while a local ranger shares fun kangaroo facts. Coffee In hand.

  • Depart for Airlie Beach.

  • Afternoon stop at Cedar Creek for a refreshing swim in the natural pools.

  • Continue to Proserpine and set up camp (2 nights).

  • Enjoy the campsite pool and mini water park - technically for kids… but we’re all big kids today.

  • Time to plan/secure Whitsundays day tours for tomorrow.

Day 9
Airlie Beach / Whitsundays

  • Option A: Full-day Whitsundays boat trip, scenic flight or even a skydive over the islands (most guests choose the day boat trip).

  • Option B: Relaxed day at the Airlie Lagoon - swim without worrying about stingers or crocodiles (how nice). Wander the shops, grab some great food, and enjoy a laid back day in town.

  • Please nose all activities today are at your own cost and booked by you.

  • Overnight at Proserpine.

Day 10
Townsville

  • Depart Airlie Beach and hit the road north.

  • Quick stop at a very iconic Australian site… a surprise (and a funny one).

  • Stop in the beautiful coastal town of Bowen - Grab a coffee and stretch the legs.

  • Short hike up to a lookout for amazing views over Bowen and the surrounds islands.

  • Continue north to Townsville, set up camp.

Day 11
Magnetic Island Day Trip

  • Ferry trip to Magnetic Island.

  • Spend the day exploring this tropical island paradise.

  • Walk the famous Forts Hike - great views and one of the best places in Australia to spot wild Koalas.

  • Optional extra walks like Hawkings Point lookout, Horseshoe Bay Lagoon trail and so much more.

  • Rock wallabie spotting.

  • Swim, explore hidden bays, or just enjoy island life for the day.

  • Ferry back to Townsville.

  • Drive 1 hour north to a National Park and camp right in the Australian bush - Surrounded by wildlife and nature.

Day 12
Cairns

  • Wake up in the Australian bush to the sound of birds chirping.

  • Stop at Etty Bay - Beautiful secluded beach. Cassowary spotting, lunch and swim.

  • Head to Josephine Falls for a rainforest walk and refreshing swim - try the natural rockslide if feeling adventurous.

  • Visit Babinda Boulders for another short walk and swim in the cool rainforest waterholes.

  • Continue north to Cairns.

  • Trip finishes with drop off in Cairns around 5pm (timing can vary depending on the days Adventures).

lift back?

This is a simple transport-only trip (no activities), running from Cairns to Brisbane over 2 days. The cost is $250 per person and includes everything: transport from Cairns to Brisbane, the option to hop off at the Sunshine Coast, plus 1 night of camping. A straightforward, no-frills journey.

Vehicle

  • We travel in a 4x4 utility with a lockable canopy, so your belongings stay safe while we’re on the road.

  • The back has custom-built drawers, and everyone gets their own drawer for their clothes.

  • There’s plenty of room for big bags or suitcases — we prefer soft-pack backpacks, but we can cater for suitcases too.

  • The vehicle has a fridge just for drinks and alcohol, so your favourite beverages are always on hand.

what we provide
